Do what God Requires

“See that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee” (Heb 8:5).

The correct construction of the tabernacle was given to Moses in detail, not dependent on a description which he might misunderstand. It was a devin structure, and had devine significance in all of its many details. he lesson for mankind is that God is specific as to His requirements of salvation.

The call to a Christian life is firstly a call to repentance for it is recorded in Mark 1:14-15 KJV: “Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, (15) And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

To repent is to have a change of mind and outlook.

A person seeking God should first place himself or herself in a position where he or she can serve God in the way which is acceptable to Him. This is done by first repenting and then acquiring, through a study of the Bible, a knowledge of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God and the work of Jesus Christ; and then being baptized into the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.

After baptism we are no longer at liberty to do as we like: we become “instruments of righteousness” and consequently there has to be a real effort to conform our thoughts, words and actions to the commandments of God.
