Mahershalahasbaz

So are Isaiah and his children. He said to Ahaz, “Behold I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of Hosts, who dwelleth in Mount Zion,”

Paul quotes this in Hebrews, and applies it to Jesus and his brethren, the children of God. Hence the prophet and his children Shear-jasub and Maher-shalal-hash-baz, were signs or types of Jesus and the saints who are appointed to perform wonders in Israel when the Lord returns to build up Zion.—Thus much, then, at present, upon this subject —Heraid, 1851, page 34.

Isaiah and his sons—Shear Jashub (Remnant shall return), and Maher-shalal-hash-baz (Haste the spoil, speed the prey)—were signs of Immanuel and his children. This is the application made by the quotation in Heb, 2:13. Jesus, like Isaiah, was “a stone of stumbling” to Judah and Jerusalem; and, like him, was cut off out of the inheritance of the Lord. But Jesus has come back again from the grave, and though now in heaven, will return and cause a “remnant,” whom he calls “the children of the resurrection” (Luke 20:36), to inherit the land for ever. They, like him, will come back again from Sheol; and he will “haste the spoil and speed the prey,” and divide it with them on a greater scale than ever befel Damascus or Samaria of old.
