“Men, which are made after the similitude of God” (James 3:9)
Christendom has created its own version of God and, in doing so, has turned away from Yahweh. Humanity has chosen to follow this invented deity, rejecting Yahweh in the process. Yet, Yahweh has revealed Himself to us. It is crucial to have an accurate understanding of Yahweh—His nature and character. Christ emphasized the significance of truly knowing Yahweh: “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent” (John 17:3). Jeremiah testifies of the glory in the knowledge of Yahweh: “Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me” (Jer 9:23-24).
